We're hiring an Associate Product Marketing Manager.
Memberful is a small remote-first company making membership software for independent publishers, educators, and creators. Our product embraces decentralization by intentionally not trying to do everything. Instead, we focus on building easy to use membership software that integrates tightly with best-in-class complementary services like WordPress, Stripe, and Mailchimp.
Historically, we’ve done very little marketing. We’ve focused on building an opinionated product our customers love while providing them with unexpectedly great service. They’ve rewarded us by telling their friends and colleagues about Memberful. It wasn’t until recently, we decided it’s time to make a shift and take hold of our story. We hired a Head of Marketing to lead the way, and officially launched marketing in April 2021.
This is where it gets exciting. We’re looking to hire an Associate Product Marketing Manager who will showcase and educate current and future customers about our product. We work in 8 week product cycles, so every 8 weeks we will have new things to share. This role will own all product communication from writing blog posts, to social sharing and beyond. We are ready to level-up our product communication across the board, and are looking for someone with experience to lead the charge.
For us, product communication doesn’t just include launches, although this is a big part of the job. It includes taking a look at how we’ve communicated about our product thus far, and if necessary, offer ideas on how to re-package and re-frame our existing functionality in a way that's compelling. This person needs to quickly understand and communicate the “why” behind our product, not just the what. Our software is fairly opinionated, and isn't meant to be everything to everyone.
We are looking for a strong writer who is passionate about membership and believes in the power of reliable, easy-to-use, and compatible software products.
Thoughtful writing is a value of ours and is integral to this position.

- Experience in planning and executing product marketing campaigns
- Market research and analysis experience
