Let members choose what to pay, and unlimited one-time payments

We’re excited to introduce two new updates to Memberful Plans, giving you even more flexibility to create the perfect membership program while giving your audience new ways to support you in these uncertain times.

The first is a setting that allows your members to pay any amount equal to or greater than the plan price. We’re calling it “Choose what you pay.” By default, Memberful Plans have a fixed price that members must pay to get access. With this update you can now define a minimum price, but accept any amount above that by passing it in with a query string in your purchase link.

This is a great way to give your most generous members a way to dig a little deeper to support your work.

Our second update makes it possible for you to collect repeat contributions from your members. Previously we had “Lifetime plans” that charged a one-time price for indefinite access. With this update, members can make unlimited one-time purchases.

By putting these two updates together, it’s now super easy to create a fully customized donation form to collect one-time contributions.

Both of these are available for all new Plans starting today!

To enable “Choose what you pay” for an existing plan go to the Plans tab in your Dashboard, select a Plan, then click Plan Settings. Enable the setting Let members choose what to pay and click Save changes.

For existing one-time purchase plans, members can now make repeated purchases effective immediately.
