Every Memberful account starts in test mode and can be used for free until you’re ready to connect Stripe and accept live payments. In this help article, we’ll explain how to add a payment method, connect your Stripe account, and start accepting live payments.

Go live with Memberful

Open your Stripe settings

Go to Settings → Stripe in your Memberful dashboard.

Add a payment method

Follow the prompt to add the payment method Memberful will use to charge your monthly plan fee after you go live.

Connect your Stripe account

When you’re ready to go live, click Connect with Stripe and select your Stripe account.

If you don’t already have a Stripe account, you can create one through the Memberful connection flow.
Going live is permanent. After you connect Stripe, you can’t return your Memberful account to test mode.When you go live, Memberful:
  • turns off test mode
  • enables live payments
  • deletes all test orders
  • deletes all test members
  • locks your currency
  • begins charging your Memberful monthly plan fee

Confirm your account is live

After you connect Stripe, your Memberful monthly plan becomes active.
